Has anyone here chipped their Wii's yet ?
I'm thinking of getting mine chipped to save alot of money � and import my wii games from the USA.
It will also mean I'm not waiting months for the pal version to arrive. (Still no trauma centre)
I hoped Datel would have released a wii freeloader - but it's not looking likely according to folks over on the code-junkies forums.
Has anyone experience of this - and whats the general consensus ? too early ? too unreliable ?

If you donate directly to the organizations involved (Red Cross etc) I can't imagine they'll be taking a cut...can they??Nope, which is why a lot of people are now telling you to make a trip to the charity in question, and donate directly, instead of donating to somebody collecting money for a charity.

Alright so here's my problem, my sister brought home a Macbook from her school and she just finished editing an iMovie file, and her friend needs to keep it at her house. I did screen sharing and I was going to upload the file to my dropbox from the computer, but the computer has a password to enter Safari, and won't let you go to any websites without the password. Is there any way to bypass this with some terminal command, or any other way to bypass the password just so I can upload this file to my dropbox.

You didn't put a game on it. You put a link to a game on the home screen. Nothing is installed on the iPad doing that other than a link. Just like a bookmark in a web browser

Try starting in "safe" mode by holding down the shift key on startup. Then, you should be able to install the update to 10.1.5.
I'm curious as to what model iMac that is. 10.1 is very old, and really was the first useable version of OS-X. You should try and upgrade to a bare minimum of 10.2 (Jaguar), but the latest version that will run on your model would probable be best.
10.3 (Panther) would be the lowest I would recommend; 10.4 (Tiger) even better (I'm making a guess your model is below the minimum spec to run Leopard, 10.5.).

i agree with the 'part of living'. it's the last page of the play after all. my sister was working with doctors without borders, was <35, and should not have gone yet. she left a 3 month old, a widow, and a pissed off brother with lots of old computers.

OK, someone recognized the abbreviations and proved that the graph is accurate (provided the context I noted was absent). One could also come up with another arbitrary explanation for the graph involving a parabolic piece-wise function given the fact that you can't infer specific curvature characteristics from a hand-drawn graph. It doesn't magically invalidate my point. The point was to show that there could be a logical explanation for the graph and the submission was stupid. That point was made.
For instance, lacking a scale, let's suppose that graph passes through (0,0), (1,1) and (2,0). This results in an equation of y = -x^2 +2x. However, we notice that to the right of 1, we should have a decreasing dependent variable. However, they share a common point, 1. When x = 1, n = 1 (using the alphabetic rather than the Greek for simplicity's sake). Also, when x = 2, n should be 0, to flip about the point of 1. When x = 0, n should be 2 (again, flipping about 1). This results in n = -x + 2. Wow. I got there a few minutes before the store opened, counted at least 300 people in front of me and a few hundred more behind me. I expected a line but that was insane. There was one person left in front of me before I could get Leopard and one of the geniuses told him "Sorry, we just ran out." He was joking though. I was about to rip his eyes out of his skull and shove them up his ass so he could watch me kick it.

Well, it's mostly games, which is a pity. I know it's not a gaming laptop but they do sell them through Steam, so I'd like to buy them.
The way you say it, it seems related to the extra power provided by the SB processor. So there seem to be three solutions.
1. Undervolting, which isn't possible right now.
2. Downgrading, and, as in the MacBook Air, fixing another kind of bottleneck (HD operation).
3. Better cooling through termal paste, more fans, cooling pad, etc.
Am I right here? I'd like to know more about this CPU+GPU combo in the same core, because I read it lead to further heating. Is there any truth to this?

replied - and added the top cases for 12inchers g3 and g4 (trackpad/powerbutton etc)

As for pricing considerations, refurb. 3rd gens (4gb) start at $99 in the apple store, ipod2sell suggests $80. That is, of course, without the engraving to consider. I would, however, reemphasize that aside from the engraving, the iPod is in pristine condition.

Echelon has been discontinued due to lack of support, anyone who previously bought the program may still get support from digitalschism@cox.net, otherwise we no longer sell/distribute the product.
I was going to try it out but of course Cleaner and Compressor do a fine job.
In other news, FfmpegX now supports H.264 encoding (but in .avi wrappers at the moment; mp4 wrappers will come later).
