It seems that all those whose application were sent to TSC, directly or indirectly, are very lucky. TSC has a way to fast-track the processing of applications. It is indeed much more efficient than NSC.

PIO card is valid for 15 years and no need to apply for visa every time you go. You just present it with the passport when entering/departing in India. it takes about 20 days to get it they say 15 working days which is about 3 weeks. if you do in person they will check all documents and let you know if there is some thing wrong so you can correct it and submit it and no issues when issuing. they give you date to pick up or even you can ask them to mail back for 15$. i would say get poi if you have time and also if you are local do pio if you are not getting it by the time of travel you can always go and get visa the same day. http://www.cgisf.org/ is the sfo counslate website can get all the infor and download application there. even you can email them they are very prompt in replying you will get a reply the next day if you have any questions

has anyone requested USCIS to send AP via Fedex/UPS?
I am thinking of sending USCIS a Fedex return envelope so that they can use that instead of regular USPS mail.

I agree with raj. IV goals are clearly mentioned on the homepage and it appears its activities so far are consistent with its stated objectives. As a self funded group with limited resources, the fronts on which the battle can be fought have to be selected. Currently, the struggle is to get legal, high skilled immigrants on temporary working visas a more defined and timely path to their long term career and life goals. There will always be issues which the core group will hopefully consider and act on in the future.

We are also stuck in CP. We live in Canada since a couple of years (we're not Canadians) and are just waiting until we can finally move to the US. We are so frustrated that we decided to apply for an H-1B this year together with our GC-sponsor/employer.
Yes, it's true that CP usually is the faster route - when you compare the processing time between AOS and CP. But I think CP has the great disadvantage that you cannot apply for EAD. I'm no fan of CP but there's nothing else you can do if you live outside the US when you apply for the GC.

You're going to destroy us all! Giving people a program that makes web designing a lot easier is bad news for us web designers.
The thing is...it doesn't design the web page. It is only a visual representation or layout program to help the client get ideas for what they might like. Once they get that...it still needs to be designed and the information added.

I may have to use it for work from January as I am invoking AC21. I am confused now whether to re-apply or just use it like as it is.
My attorney informed USCIS about the typo error when they received the AOS receipts , but it looks like EAD Card was ordered before USCIS was notified. My Advance Parole has also mis-spelled Lastname. I have USCIS letter confirming typo error attached to my case. Would this be a sufficient proof that my EAD has a different Lastname which is only a typo error?
Gurus please advise.

Those numbers would be correct as of 2nd half of 2004, I think. I got it from a Labor Cert discussion thread (from immigrationportal.com) around that time.

Our PD : Dec 22nd 2003, EB2 India. It was pre-adjudicated on Sept 18th 2008.
My petition was approved 4 months back, after calling 100 times USCIS.
In my wife's case we spoke with IO on Sept 4th.
Created Service Request on 5th Sept.
During September 2nd week spoke to IO, IO sent an email to IO who is looking at petition.
During September last week we got Service Request generic response "Wait 180 days" which I have seen 2 times in my case .
On Sept 29th sent 7001 form to Ombudsman. Ombudsman office might have received the application on or before 1st October.
October 2nd 2009 my wife's petition approved.
So if your case is genuine case problem. Don't waste your time calling Immigration officers. Send 7001 form to Ombudsman's office.

I am saying this from personal experience. When I was offered a job, I had to supply all these documents and go through this background check process which took 1 month to clear. My friends on H1-B,in other companies also had to go through same process.
My colleagues,who are US-Citizens and GC holders didn't have to comply with any of it.
Even in India,everyone has to supply a copy of their educational qualifications.So,it seemed pretty odd to me that why are companies accepting things at face value for Citizens and GC's.Everybody can lie.

If you do invoke AC-21, you might have problems with your petition as there seems to be a big difference between a Sr. Program Manager and a Programmer Analyst.
However, if i were you, i would still take up the new role and send in the AC21. There is a possibilityt hat they will approve it.
What's the point of a GC if you are locked in on your career growth anyways!?! Remember, these are your most productive years!
