I also like this.
So much the fun to look at the leaks!
Hopefully it'll grow, this seems REALLY cool! :)

I apologize if I may have violated the rules with regard to asking a question about selling an item, it's not may intention to come here to pawn something off.
As for my friend, we have known each other since kindergarten (now in our 30s) and I originally offered to give it to him for free but he insisted on paying a fair-market price.
I wouldn't sell it to a friend. Help him find a seller instead.

I have a hid device , because its class is 0x03. I use HIDManager and IOServiceMatching(kIOHIDDeviceKey), both can't find device, whether the kernel don't have matching driver, and I must write a hid device driver?
Main code:
method 1:
IOHIDManagerRef mgr;
mgr = IOHIDManagerCreate(kCFAllocatorDefault, kIOHIDOptionsTypeNone);
IOHIDManagerSetDeviceDeviceMatching(mgr, NULL);
IOHIDManagerOpen(mgr, kIOHIDOptionsTypeNone);
CFSetRef device_set = IOHIDManagerCopyDevices(mgr);
CFIndex num_devices = CFSetGetCount(device_set);
....
method 2:
io_iterator_t hidObjectIterator;
CFMutableDictionaryRef hidMatchingDict= IOServiceMatching(kIOHIDDeviceKey);
//add my device pid and vid to hidMatchingDict
.....
IOServiceGetMatchingServices(,,hidObjectIterator);
io_object_t hidDevice;
while(hidDevice = IOIteratorNext(hidObjectIterator))
{...}
As a result, hidDevice = 0;

Nice!
Damn, brings back memories. I was a reseller back in the day and had a lot of those things and got rid of them. I had on of these and gave it away. Facepalm.

Are you sure your computer isn't saying "Could not load MySpace, Reason: It's for 13 year old losers."? ;)
I'm sorry, I can't stand that site.
Some of us are much older losers, thank you vefy much. :D
That's a nice tip. Thanks! But does anyone know if MS ever plans on releasing WMP10?
I'm sure they'll release WMP10 for Mac about the time WMP12 is ready for Windows. ;)

For sale: Ipod nano, 2nd gen, 4 gig. capacity, works great, like new: no scratches that I know of, screen is nice, has been kept in case or sleeve (from my 1st gen nano) all its life. It's the Product Red color. Comes with 'iwave' black metal case. Despite what the pictures may show, the screen is bright and clear; the red aluminum is uniform in color and rather immaculate.
Includes retail packaging (no headphones unless you're really interested in sharing used ones...), USB cable, documentation, stickers, dock adapter, a number of UPC-ed bags from when I opened it. Package is missing UPC code from last year's back to school promotion for college students. I'm trying to sell my way into an ipod Touch. Also would entertain (crazed?) offers of trade + $ for touch.
I can take pictures if you'd like.
Caveat: It's got the engraving, w/ my name and email address. Plus I guess you can stay in contact with me at all times? The black case covers it.
Please reply with reasonable offers or advice; thanks in advance.

I can recover the pictures, but it is something I'd need physical access to the phone to do.
Just curious as to "how" you would do so? Had a friend who's phone was toast and I wish I could have helped...

Odd..
Did you change the machine id on the other installations? Are they all in seperate folders so the data files dont overlap?

Zack

I see you have the 16MB memory module, that the one I sold you?
Could have been, it was some time ago now! memory is not what it was. :D
I have two boxed white ones, one with a rare outer shipping box and it came with some additional Pippin literature which can be seen on my Flickr account.

The Black US version with the outer box and manual and the Grey/Black version from KatzMedia which is actually a chassis and plastic case unassembled, two keyboards, wireless controller and an ADB controller.

I simply use the process killer in SBSettings to kill the offending app, which takes away it's banner ad also. Is this whole wallpaper ads thing part of the iAds discussion? 'keep apps free' and all that?
Ironically this may motivate me to purhase wwf.

To intall in your MBP, the bare drive is all you need. There are four mounting nubby screws on the old drive you need to move to the new drive. Use a #6 Torx driver to remove them. Easy.
THAT was exactly what I was lookin' for. Thanks!

They are 30 pin SIMMs
Data Memory Systems (http://www.datamem.com/viewcat.asp_Q_C_E_919) has the 16 Mb SIMMs for $15 each
You have to install them 4 at a time.

Personally, I hated the hockey puck, but my cat loved it. Although he prefers wireless mice, as they are easier to knock off my desk. :)

So I have owned my 2011MBP (15", 2.2GHz) for about a month now, and while it isn't slow, it doesn't feel as fast as my 3 year old C2D (E6750) based system. On my Windows machine, I can run several virtual machines, for months, without even noticing any impact on other applications such as Adobe CS3, etc. This system only has 4GB of memory, and an older 750GB HD.
If I try running just 1 virtual machine (be it XP or Windows 7), it makes the laptop almost useless, while the VM itself isn't running that fast either. I have tweaked some of the performance settings in Parallels, but nothing seems to make a difference. I upgraded to 8GB of memory, still no difference.
Is this a typical experience?
I just use Boot Camp for Win 7 Pro, same laptop as you 15" 2.2ghz, 4gb ram and 750gb hd w/ hr anti-glare. I have no issues, although I am tempted to upgrade to 8gb ram before my month ends of owning this only for a feeling of complete, if I don't upgrade I could care less b/c this beast is quick and no and I mean no issues.

You dont need an Internet connection, but what you could do is plug your Macbook into any speakers, create a wifi network with your macbook, join that wifi network with your iPhone and just use the iTunes Remote App to control the music.

What you want to do with the secondary display is called clamshell mode.
You need an external keyboard and mouse to achieve it.
1. Plug in and turn on external display
2. Close the lid of the computer, let it sleep
3. Wake it up using said external keyboard and mouse
4. Your external is now your main, and only display, running at it's native resolution.
