You don't need a copy editor. You need a spell checker. For one word. Which he made you aware of. So you don't even need a spell checker!
Myself... I could use complete sentences probably. But that's why I code and don't authortate (I made up a word)!

I've read through several different things online and can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I'm going to purchase a 13" Macbook Pro here in the next few weeks and was planning on purchasing AppleCare coverage with it. However I have no Apple Stores near me. I do, however, have two Authorized Service Providers within ten miles of me. Do the Authorized Service Providers honor the AppleCare protection? If the HDD crashes, overheating problems, battery issues, etc will they fix it for free under my AppleCare plan? Or would I have to send it through the mail to Apple and have them fix it?
I've read differing views online. On Apple's AppleCare page it says "Apple may provide service through one or more of the following options: carry-in service (to Apple Retail Stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers), customer drop-off (to UPS stores in the U.S., for iPod and iPhone only), direct mail-in service, onsite service (for desktop computers), or Do-It-Yourself (DIY) parts (so you can service your own product)." I wasn't sure if that meant you can get it repaired (at your cost without voiding the warranty) at Authorized Service Providers or if it meant that the ASPs will honor the AppleCare coverage and fix it for free.
Thanks for your help...
I think you have to send it off to Apple for it to be fixed. I'm sure that resellers don't fix products. But I could be wrong. A reseller may replace the laptop, but I'm sure they won't fix it. Edit: Mal has answered your question. Again my answer was c*ap! ;)

I have Simple Mobile service. I had been told to disable the 3G option on my iPhone 3gs. Now I have a new iPhone 4. With Gevey, can I now use the 3G enable? Will my phone work on 3G network? Thank you!
It should work fine with 3G on.

Does do a what i want but removing my floats kinda makes a gap between the nav and sub nav. Though adding in some floats makes the sidebar move again so i'll need to sort out this gap.

Howdy. I have a Logitech G5, Logitech G9, and Razer Lachesis. I love 'em all but none has a Mac driver. :(
Do you use a laser mouse? If so, which do you use?
(I don't game, but the higher sensitivity works nicely for larger screen resolutions and some graphic design)
Thx!
I use a Apple Magic Mouse.. which is a laser mouse, and works fantastically (as youd expect) with Mac OS X.

How do i know what format the drive is in?
Plug the external drive into your MacBook Pro, and open a finder window. The WD drive should show up in the left part of the finder window, under devices.
Right-click on the drive, and click on "Get Info".
In the Info window, part way down you'll see the format. For example:
Format: MS-DOS (FAT32)
or
Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
or
something else for NTFS...
Remember, you can't reformat a drive (or a partition) without losing the files currently on that drive (partition). So, you MUST copy the files somewhere else, first.

I've had my iBook for about 2 months now and i love it. i absolutely love it. my PC has never been so neglected :)
I have only one small problem with it and thats the keyboard layout. And its not what you think, its got nothing to do with the cmd, alt or ctrl keys, i've gotten so used to them, that i sometimes press Alt V on my windows machine instead of Ctrl V. :)
My gripe lies with the implementation of the British Keyboard layout. (yes we use our own different layout :) )
Basically this keyboard is layed out like a std US keyboard with the on top of the 3. To my british trained fingers lots of keys are in the wrong place, for instance
@ is on top of the 2, rather than on top of '
" is on top of ' instead of on top of 2
Euro is alt2 instead of alt4
# is alt 3 instead of being on the mid right hand side of the keyboard.
Its not a big deal (except that when i needed to use keycaps the first time i wanted to use #, and i miss having off the main keyboard) as my fingers are now used to this keyboard and automatically remember the correct layout when i use another computer. I still love my iBook, and the only way you get it away from me is to pry it from my cold dead fingers, or to replace it with a G5 PowerBook :)
Just my 2p

Pretty pathetic.... when that happened to us, we bought a used one.. if you buy from a store, they'll provide some kind of warranty in many cases... we've had used ones last longer than new ones.

So my 2007 Xbox 360 decided to konk out on me today. It turns on and it makes the booting noise, but alas I just have a black screen (yes I've check cables). Fine, ***** happens. So I go to Best Buy to pick up the 4gb 360 slim. Low and behold they don't have it, all they have is the stupid 4gb Kinect bundles or the 250gb holiday bundle. They have stacks upon stacks of these goddamn bundles, but no stand-alone 4gb systems. Next stop, Target. Same story there, Kinect and holiday bundles galore, but no stand-alone systems. Next stop Wal-Mart, same story. Next Stop Meijer, same stupid story. Finally I go to Gamestop, and guess what only Kinect and Holiday bundles.
To say that I am pissed right now is a major understatement. Why do they have to stock all of these stupid *********g bundles? No one wants the damn things. Why can't they just stock more stand-alone systems? Maybe it's not the fault of the stores, maybe this is Microsoft's falut, because they won't make enough stand-alone systems. If that is the case, why do they have to be so stupid????
/END RANT/
Basically what is with this bundle crap? What happened to buying this separately?

update was needed! When do you think we will see Logic 10?
Not too soon I hope, as Apple will probably find new bugs in Logic 9. Besides, 9 came out just last year and the last version before that was Logic 8 which came out in 2007. But that was two years between release so Apple could come out with Logic 10 in 2011. It's interesting to note that Garageband has flex time now.

First of all, Safari. I know a lot of people like it, and I tried to, but I hate it. It sticks and takes a ridiculously long time to load pages.
Try SafariSpeed (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24331) to reduce the time it takes to load pages. It's free, and you'll likely notice a vast improvement.

Do you prefer to work from one 'main' computer or more?
Using one main computer has it's benefits, everything is in one place, no juggling files or file syncing software. It's easy to stay focused working from one desktop.
But, if you have mobility in mind you'd need the computer to be a notebook and work with a limited screen size or add an external display .... but then there's the plugging/unplugging all day, files need to be kept in sync...
What's your setup like, one computer or two, how do you use them?

The TiBook is due an overhaul sometime next month I would have thought...... although I know exactly what you mean about revisions just after buying... it's happened to me with a beige G3....... :(
the best time to buy is exactly after a revision is released, then you pretty much know you'll be safe for 6 months...... :)

How fast is the drive? That may be one of the problems, especially if you're connecting it via usb because USB data is sent in beeps, like this --------- if that makes sense, whereas USB 3.0 and firewire flow constantly.

Thanks for all the replies.
I don't mind spending the $99 to get a developer license, I just didn't want to do it if I couldn't do what I needed to do.
We already have a website/twitter/facebook, I just wanted to cover all bases and an app seemed like the next step.
