I am new to go and don't know much about it, but am interested in it.. what are good resources to check out to learn how to play? either online or at the library, and what is that game otello, or is that a seperape entity?
Sensei's library is a great resource for learning. Also, like cayley said, just play. Open an account on Dragon Go Server and give it a try. I'd suggest playing on some smaller boards first (9x9, 13x13), to play fast, and to not worry too much about how you do at first. Just get through some games, and see how you feel about it. If you start out with a 19x19 game on Dragon Go, it might take a month or two to finish it if you're not playing quickly with someone.
It's not the same game as Othello. The two games are completely different except that the game pieces look similar.

Another vote for FontExplorer X. I've been using it for years and it works like a charm. (I do follow Suitcase's recommended organization of fonts.)

thanks so much for the replies. i gave the ps3mediaserver app a try and the results were better than i expected. i was worried that on the fly transcoding would degrade video to webcam quality or something! hopefully between that and the wd nas, i'll have a decent set of options for downloaded content.
and fingers crossed that either a more competent browser or a better canadian netflix selection will show up on the horizon someday.
in the meantime i just looked at the trailer for wipeout HD fury, @-SD- you have a surprising insight into exactly the type of game that i'd enjoy, thanks! :)

I promised the bloopers and I just imported em all off the camera, it took us 15 times according to the clips in iMovie to get it right.

Couldn't he just move the files to the Mac, then back once the external is reformatted?
Also, I would suggest finding a way to backup all the files from your old microsoft laptop BEFORE doing any moving of files or reformatting. One never knows when a HD failure will occur. Can the OP burn backup DVD's using the mac but with files from the external drive? Better to be safe than sorry.
Do fonts even work cross platform to warrant even keeping them?

I played around with one today since they bought it to put in our game lab at school. It is pretty neat. I played the dance game and watched people play the adventure game. It would be awfully depressing to play by yourself though, but seems perfect for a party. I may pick one up just to have in our apartment when we have people over for drinks.
It seems like it has a good bit of potential too. I could see Fight Night being awesome with the motion controls, along with light gun games and rail shooters that have you lean around corners.

There are lots because no one has been buying in anticipation of either a) new models in the main store, or b) further refurb price reductions on the current gen when new models start hitting the refurb store.
Either way, refurbished products are a good way to grab a Mac at reduced prices.

2) To help the MR Folding Team.
3) Makes me feel good to have my Mac doing something important.

ok... it takes 184 pin DDR266, PC2100. i have a friend with a 128 stick of 184 pin PC3200 (my memory didn't work). Would her's work? i figure the computer would just clock it down
Technically it should. AFAIK, you should be able to put any speed DDR RAM into a PC and it will clock it down to the necessary speed.
